As we approached the completion of the “SOS Fire!” Project, we began to organize the multiplier events scheduled in the project. Thus, we organized in Romania the first event on March 9, in Dumitrești, Vrancea County, where teachers, parents and representatives of the local administration were invited to find out more details about the results of our project.
By participating in this project, the schools opened up to new teaching and learning actors and to the local community. They provided students with a pleasant, fun and welcoming environment in which to learn, and teachers were able to introduce new methods from informal and non-formal contexts to regular teaching contexts.
One of the results presented was the E-learning platform. Here teachers and parents can find materials that raise children’s awareness of the risks of fire, its prevention and the most important measures to be implemented in case of emergency and fire.
